We studied the past of our favorite male actors and found out where and under what circumstances each of them undressed in front of the camera at least once.
We studied the past of our favorite male actors and found out where and under what circumstances each of them did it at least once. Of course, we will not publish the piquant footage itself here (most of it would still have to be censored). But we are ready to tell you what films you need to watch to satisfy your curiosity.
Michael Fassbender
Where: “Shame” (2011)
In the film by Steve McQueen, our hero plays the role of a 30-year-old New Yorker, an erotomaniac and a sexaholic, unable to control his desire. It is not surprising that in one of the first scenes, Fassbender appears completely naked before the audience. Nothing covers his body, and the camera meticulously shows every piece, leaving not the slightest hope for imagination. After this role, the red-bearded Irishman gained a significant number of fans. Even those who prefer light, unobtrusive films about love struggled through McQueen’s psychological drama. Anything for Fassbender!
Marlon Brando
Where: Last Tango in Paris (1972)
The famous film by Bernardo Bertolucci is considered a classic of the erotic genre. Marlon Brando, who appears naked more than once in the film, was even nominated for an Oscar for his role. The film takes place in Paris in the late 60s and tells the story of two people connected by an all-consuming passion. They say that the plot is largely based on the sexual fantasies of the director himself. In general, the film will appeal to both fans of erotica and those who prefer films that touch on the theme of relationships that are outside the framework accepted by society.
Gerard Depardieu
Where: “The Last Woman” (1976)
Marco Ferreri’s infamous film tells the complex story of the hero’s experience of his own ideas about masculinity. The main roles are Gerard Depardieu and Ornella Muti, who spend most of the time on camera either having sex or talking naked about family, women’s rights and their own future. In general, we have seen Depardieu naked more than once. Remember “The Twentieth Century” by Bernardo Bertolucci, “Waltzers” by Bertrand Blier or “I love you… I don’t love you either” by Serge Gainsbourg. However, so much of this famous Frenchman’s naked body can only be seen in “The Last Woman.” If you are a fan of the young Depardieu, then this is a must watch.
Ben Affleck
Where: “Splash of Glory” (1995)
If you are haunted by Affleck’s acting talent, then you will certainly be impressed by this film by Rich Wilkes, where the actor several times appears before the viewer, as they say, in what his mother gave birth to. The first time the naked body will be somewhat hidden by a translucent shower curtain, which, however, will not in the least interfere with examining the actor’s body, but in the second nude scene nothing will be hidden.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Where: Total Eclipse (1995)
Agnieszka Holland’s film tells the tragic life story of two outstanding French poets – Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud. The latter is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. As you might guess, the script is based on the biography of Rimbaud, who became famous almost in childhood. In Total Eclipse, two actors, Leonardo DiCaprio and David Thewlis, appear completely naked.
Vincent Perez
Where: “The Libertine” (2000)
Devoid of all shame and clothing, Vincent Perez, to the delight of his fans, generously presents his viewers with explicit scenes throughout the film. Even the trailer for the film (which is usually distinguished by modesty and chastity) did not avoid nudity. Gabriel Aghion, the director of “The Libertine,” did his best and most accurately conveyed the sexual tossing of the 18th-century writer and philosopher Diderot while writing the chapter “Morality” for his then-banned book “Encyclopedia.”
Colleen Farrell
Where: Tigerland (2000)
You don’t expect such liberties from a military drama, but, nevertheless, you can find a little eroticism in such films. The case takes place in September 1971 during the Vietnam War. The camp trains new recruits who will soon go off to fight for their country. Against the background of drills, soldier training and reflections on the meaning of life, the naked rebel and pacifist Roland Bozz played by Collin Farrell flashes on the screen.
Michael Pitt
Where: “The Dreamers” (2003)
Frankly speaking, in Bertolucci’s film all the main characters appear naked in one way or another – both Eva Green and Louis Garrel, but the most memorable shot belongs to Michael Pitt, who is undressed by his friends, not without pleasure. A terribly sexy drama about a young American who came to Paris on an exchange program and settled in the apartment of two film-obsessed peers, one of the best films of Bernardo Bertolucci. By the way, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jake Gyllenhaal were considered for the role of Matthew, which Pitt plays, so in a different scenario we could see one of them naked.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Where: Mysterious Skin (2004)
Gregg Araki’s drama features Joseph Gordon-Levitt at his best. If you suddenly dream of seeing “everything that is hidden,” then immediately download the film and watch it. We are sure that the picture will not disappoint you. But we warn you, the film is not the simplest in content. The plot of the film is built around the drama of two teenagers who experienced sexual molestation in childhood, so think about it first.
Willem Dafoe
Where: “Antichrist” (2009)
Lars von Trier does not like hints; his films are always straightforward, cruel and sometimes too provocative. “Antichrist” tells the story of a middle-aged couple who lost a child. Against the backdrop of the emotional experiences of the main characters and non-human characters, the story unfolds not only about repentance and heartache, but also about relationships after sad circumstances. Of course, it can’t be done without sex. Naked, you will see Defoe in the frame more than once – in front, behind, from the side, in general, as soon as you wish. Do you need it? Decide for yourself.
Jude Law
Where: “House Hemingway” (2013)
In Richard Shepard’s crime comedy, Lowe plays a renowned safe-cracking expert who, after spending 12 years in prison, is released and is about to collect the debt owed to him for his silence. The hero’s name is Dom Hemingway. Not that there is a lot of nudity in the film, but the shots of Lowe walking (naked, of course) into the distance of the olive grove will be remembered by viewers for a long time. By the way, for this role, Jude specifically gained a couple of extra pounds to give his image weight (literally and figuratively).
Shia LaBeouf
Where: “Nymphomaniac: Part 1” (2013)
Lars von Trier undressed everyone in his film, but we liked Shia LaBeouf the most, who appears “nude” in the first part of the drama. The slogan of the film “Forget about love”, together with the title, seems to hint (not very subtly) that there will be no love in the film, at least in the usual sense of the word. Flowers and hearts are replaced here by whips and handcuffs, and first dates instantly develop into sex scenes. So somewhere, somewhere, and in “Nymphomaniac” you can definitely find a dozen actors who are definitely not afraid to undress in front of the camera.
Jamie Dornan
Where: Fifty Shades of Gray (2015)
Did anyone doubt that this film would make it onto our list? It would be very strange if a movie based on the novel by E. L. James did without naked bodies. Of course, the eroticism in the film is rather conventional, but if you wish, you can consider a lot, for example, Jamie Dornan. The actor appears on screen without clothes twice. During these few short appearances, an inquisitive eye will be able to see everything that is usually hidden from prying eyes.
