Trust
It’s a curious paradox, but if your man senses that you don’t trust him, he’ll struggle to trust you in return. Trust is a two-way street, and when one person doubts, it can erode the foundation of the relationship for both.
But then, do not go overboard and get hyper-suspicious or paranoid because that can be quite damaging to someone sincerely trying to win your trust. Unending suspicion will make your partner feel unappreciated and insulted, which can be disastrous for a relationship. It is a lot more beneficial for him to have faith in you and the relationship – thus creating an optimistic emotional backdrop – than going through the upheaval of emotional decay.
